Sports specific training is simply a training program designed to assist you, the athlete, in achieving a specific goal or to improve your ability to perform a specific discipline. Whether it is High, Long or Triple jumping the requirements to perform these events requires some specific training that is different from but also sprint training. In short, sport specific training is tailored to an event or events and is not general in nature.
In the sport of track and field these categories are broken down into the following: Throwing, Sprints, Jumps, Middle Distance and Long Distance events. There are several sub-categories under each of these.
All performance and assessment measures are designed with the individual in mind just as our training programs are no matter what type. Our focus is YOU!

General fitness training works towards broad goals of overall health and well-being, rather than narrow goals of sport competition, larger muscles or concerns over appearance. A regular workout regimen and healthy diet can improve appearance, stimulate muscle tone, relieve stress, assist in weight loss, and aide in more restful sleep, enhance stamina, encourage healthy eating habits, and improve overall quality of life.
